The Anti-Ageing Elixir is the evening active treatment in The Aussie Man routine. Its oil-based formula is designed specifically for night use when the skin barrier is most receptive to lipid-based actives and the skin is in its natural repair and regeneration cycle. Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica) is the primary active ingredient. Its triterpenoid compounds, specifically asiaticoside, asiatic acid, and madecassic acid, have been shown in clinical research to directly stimulate the production of collagen Type I and Type III. These are the structural proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity that decline progressively from your mid-thirties at roughly one percent per year. Gotu Kola provides a plant-based mechanism to slow that decline through consistent nightly application. Seabuckthorn Kernel Extract is one of the only plant sources of Omega 3, 6, 7, and 9 fatty acids simultaneously. Omega 7 in particular, which comes from palmitoleic acid, is naturally present in human skin tissue and declines with age. The extract also contains carotenoids including beta-carotene and zeaxanthin that provide antioxidant protection during the overnight repair cycle. The Anti-Ageing Elixir is an oil-based evening treatment built around Gotu Kola, one of the most clinically researched botanical ingredients for collagen synthesis. The active compounds in Gotu Kola, called centellosides, penetrate most effectively through a lipid carrier, which is why this formula uses Jojoba Oil and Seabuckthorn rather than a water base. That means the Elixir is rich, intentionally so, and designed for skin that benefits from deep nourishment overnight.
