Hydrating Skincare for Dry Men's Skin
Dry skin, flaking, tightness, dullness, and dehydration. Our hydrating range uses Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Kakadu Plum, and Rosehip Oil to restore moisture, strengthen the skin barrier, and keep your skin balanced all day.
Dry skin in men is rarely about the skin itself failing. It is almost always about a routine, or lack of one, that is not replacing what the skin loses every day. Wind, sun, air conditioning, hot showers, and alcohol-based products all strip moisture from the skin faster than it can replenish naturally. The fix is straightforward, but it needs to be consistent. Occasional moisturising does not address the underlying deficit. A daily routine that actively replenishes hydration at multiple layers of the skin does.
The difference between dry skin and dehydrated skin
These two things feel similar but have different causes and require slightly different approaches.
Dry skin is a skin type. It produces less oil than normal or oily skin, which means its natural protective barrier is thinner and moisture escapes more easily. Men with dry skin often notice tightness after washing, flaking around the nose and forehead, and skin that feels rough to the touch regardless of season.
Dehydrated skin is a condition, not a type. Even oily skin can be dehydrated. It happens when the skin loses more water than it is taking in, often due to environmental factors, diet, alcohol consumption, or the use of stripping products. Dehydrated skin shows as dullness, fine lines that appear specifically when the skin is stretched, and a complexion that looks flat rather than alive.
The practical difference is that dry skin needs oil-based support to rebuild its barrier, while dehydrated skin needs water-binding ingredients to restore moisture content. Men with very dry skin often need both.
What genuinely hydrates skin
The Hydrate and Revitalise Bundle combines ingredients that work across both needs.
The Daily Face Cleanser starts the routine by clearing the surface without stripping. The Papaya and White Willow Bark exfoliate gently so subsequent products absorb properly, rather than sitting on top of accumulated dead cells.
The Ultimate Serum delivers Hyaluronic Acid directly to clean, slightly damp skin. Hyaluronic Acid binds up to 1,000 times its weight in water, drawing moisture from the environment and from deeper skin layers and holding it at the surface. The result is visible fullness and a reduction in the depth of fine lines within the first few uses.
The Daily Moisturiser seals everything in. With Aloe Vera as its base alongside Quandong, Kakadu Plum, and Rose Hip Oil, it provides both water-based and lipid-based hydration. Quandong supports collagen production and helps maintain the skin's structural integrity over time. Rose Hip Oil replenishes the fatty acids the skin needs to maintain a strong barrier.
The Intensive Eye Cream addresses the most visibly dehydrated area on most men's faces. The skin around the eye is the thinnest on the face and shows dehydration most prominently in the form of fine lines and a crepe-like texture. Lemon Myrtle Extract, Seabuckthorn, and Cucumber Oil work together to calm puffiness, reduce dark circles, and restore suppleness to the eye area.
The routine
Morning: Daily Face Cleanser, then Ultimate Serum applied to slightly damp skin and allowed two minutes to absorb, then Daily Moisturiser to seal the hydration in, then Intensive Eye Cream under the eyes.
Evening: Daily Face Cleanser, then Daily Moisturiser, then Intensive Eye Cream. If your skin is very dry, apply the moisturiser to slightly damp skin to maximise absorption.
Practical habits that make the routine work better
Apply the Daily Moisturiser within two minutes of washing your face, while the skin is still slightly damp. Moisture applied to damp skin absorbs more effectively and the Aloe Vera base seals it in more efficiently.
Reduce shower temperature. Hot water dissolves the skin's natural oils faster than warm water and leaves skin significantly drier. A cooler shower temperature is one of the single most impactful changes men with dry skin can make.
Drink enough water. Topical hydration helps but it cannot fully compensate for systemic dehydration. The skin is the last organ to receive water when the body is prioritising hydration, which means chronic mild dehydration shows on the face before it shows anywhere else.
Understanding Dry Skin
Dry skin is one of the most common skin concerns for men, yet one of the least addressed. Many men assume tightness, flaking, or a dull complexion is just how their skin is. In reality, it is usually a sign that the skin barrier is not retaining moisture effectively, and the right routine can make a significant difference.
Your skin's barrier is made up of natural oils and lipids that lock moisture in and keep irritants out. When this barrier is weakened by harsh cleansers, hot showers, cold weather, air conditioning, or simply not moisturising, water escapes from the skin faster than it can be replaced. The result is tightness, flaking, a rough texture, and a dull appearance.
Men's skin produces more oil than women's on average, but that does not mean it cannot be dehydrated. Oily skin and dry skin are not opposites. Oily skin refers to excess sebum production. Dehydrated skin refers to a lack of water. You can have oily, dehydrated skin at the same time, which is why many men with oily complexions still experience tightness and flaking.
The solution is a routine that restores moisture at every step: a gentle cleanser that does not strip oils, hydrating serums that draw moisture in, and moisturisers that lock it in and strengthen the barrier. Ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Rosehip Oil, and Kakadu Plum provide multi-layered hydration that addresses dryness at the source, not just on the surface.

This is not the right starting point if
The Hydration and Dryness routine addresses the two most common causes of dry skin in men: a compromised moisture barrier that cannot retain water effectively, and insufficient hydration being delivered to the skin in the first place. Hyaluronic Acid draws moisture to the surface and holds it there. Aloe Vera soothes and calms dehydrated skin. Rosehip Oil provides essential fatty acids that support barrier repair. Used consistently twice daily, this combination restores surface hydration rapidly and strengthens the barrier that keeps moisture in over time.
If your skin dryness is associated with a diagnosed condition, including eczema, psoriasis, or ichthyosis, use the treatment your clinician has prescribed for the active phase of that condition. This routine is highly effective for healthy skin experiencing dryness from environmental exposure, lifestyle factors, or the natural reduction in oil production that comes with age. It is not a medical treatment for an active dermatological condition, and introducing new products during a flare can complicate your clinician's ability to assess how your prescribed treatment is working.
If you are in a very dry environment, whether from cold air, high altitude, or extended air conditioning exposure, skincare alone will only partially address the problem. Hyaluronic Acid draws moisture from the ambient air as well as from deeper layers of the skin. In very low humidity environments, it can draw moisture upward and then lose it to the dry air, which can paradoxically increase surface dryness. Apply your moisturiser while your skin is still slightly damp after cleansing, use a room humidifier where possible, and increase your water intake. The routine performs significantly better when ambient humidity is not working against it.
Restoring a compromised moisture barrier takes consistent daily application over three to four weeks. The first week will show noticeable improvement in surface feel and comfort. The barrier itself, the lipid layer that prevents transepidermal water loss, takes longer to rebuild. Do not assess whether the routine is working based on the first three or four days. Assess it at four weeks.
