The Breakout Treatment addresses the three elements that drive a breakout simultaneously rather than targeting just one. Most acne products focus on the bacteria or the inflammation in isolation. This formula tackles both alongside the pore congestion that creates the environment for breakouts to form in the first place. Tea Tree Oil is the primary antibacterial active. Its compound terpinen-4-ol disrupts the cell membrane of Cutibacterium acnes, the bacteria most commonly responsible for adult acne, neutralising it without the resistance issues that develop with antibiotic-based treatments over time. A clinical trial published in the Medical Journal of Australia compared 5% Tea Tree Oil to 5% benzoyl peroxide across 124 acne patients over three months. Both reduced acne lesions significantly. Tea Tree worked more gradually but produced far fewer side effects including dryness, peeling, and irritation. Lemon Myrtle Oil provides additional antimicrobial support. Research has shown it is more potent than tea tree oil as an antimicrobial agent at equivalent concentrations, which is why the combination is more effective than either ingredient alone. White Willow Bark delivers natural salicin that clears the dead skin cells and congestion blocking the pore from the inside. Clearing the pore removes the environment bacteria thrive in, addressing the cause rather than just the symptom. Aloe Vera Gel and Extract form the base of the formula. Aloe calms the inflammatory response that makes breakouts red and swollen, reducing their visible appearance while the Tea Tree and Lemon Myrtle work on the bacterial element. This is why the formula is gentler on the skin than dedicated Tea Tree products despite containing strong antimicrobials. Pineapple Extract and Licorice Root provide additional brightening and anti-inflammatory action. 100% organic, vegan, and cruelty-free. Made in Australia.

    How To Use

Apply in the evening after cleansing. Use a clean fingertip or cotton bud to apply directly to active breakouts as a spot treatment. Alternatively apply across the full face if dealing with widespread congestion. Allow to absorb fully before applying Daily Moisturiser over the top. Do not rinse off. For sensitive skin, patch test on a small area for two days before broader use.

    Best For

Oily, combination, and acne-prone skin. Suitable for adult men with recurring breakouts, congestion, or post-breakout marks.

    What To Expect

Redness and swelling around active breakouts reduces visibly within 24 to 48 hours of consistent application. Full resolution of individual breakouts typically takes three to five days. Surface-level pimples respond faster than deep cystic breakouts. The most significant change comes after four to six weeks of consistent routine use when breakout frequency reduces as the bacterial load on the skin decreases.

This is not the right starting point if

The Breakout Treatment combines Tea Tree Oil, White Willow Bark, Aloe Vera, and Pineapple Extract to address the four components of a breakout cycle: bacterial activity, congestion, inflammation, and cell turnover. Australian Tea Tree Oil at the right concentration disrupts the cell membranes of acne-causing bacteria without the systemic side effects of antibiotic-based treatments. White Willow Bark provides natural salicylate activity to clear the pore. This is a complete daily treatment, not a spot fix.

If you have been diagnosed with severe or cystic acne and are currently on prescription medication, including oral antibiotics, isotretinoin, or prescription topicals, continue your prescribed treatment. The Breakout Treatment is highly effective for the adult breakouts and congestion that most men deal with. It is not designed to replace clinical treatment for diagnosed acne vulgaris, which involves deeper inflammatory and hormonal components that require medical management.

If you are currently using a prescription retinoid, a clinical-strength benzoyl peroxide, or multiple active treatments simultaneously, be careful about stacking. Tea Tree Oil and White Willow Bark are both active ingredients. Adding them on top of a prescription that is already working the skin hard increases the risk of barrier disruption and paradoxical irritation. Introduce one thing at a time.

Used as a daily treatment rather than a spot application, the Breakout Treatment delivers its best results. Most men who use it only on visible spots see some improvement. Men who use it consistently as part of a full morning and evening routine see a measurably better outcome because they are addressing oil regulation and bacterial load continuously rather than reactively.

    Ingredient Spotlight

    Australian Tea Tree

    Antimicrobial botanical

Targeted antibacterial action: Terpinen-4-ol, the primary active compound in Tea Tree Oil, has demonstrated activity against Cutibacterium acnes, the bacteria most commonly associated with acne and breakouts in adults. It disrupts the bacterial cell membrane without creating the resistance issues associated with long-term antibiotic use, which makes it a more sustainable solution for men dealing with recurring breakouts. Reducing breakout severity: Tea Tree does not just target existing breakouts. Used consistently, it reduces the bacterial load on the skin surface, which lowers the likelihood of new breakouts forming. Men who use it as part of a regular routine typically see a reduction in both frequency and severity over four to six weeks rather than an overnight fix. Calming post-breakout redness: The anti-inflammatory properties of Tea Tree Oil help reduce the redness and swelling around active breakouts, which makes them less visible more quickly. This is separate from the antibacterial action and operates through a different mechanism, inhibiting the inflammatory cytokines that cause the characteristic red, raised appearance. Controlling excess oil: Tea Tree has a mild sebum-regulating effect, which is useful for men whose breakouts are driven by overproduction of oil. It reduces the sebaceous activity that creates the environment bacteria thrive in, addressing the cause rather than just the symptom.

    Lemon Myrtle

    Native Australian ingredient

Antimicrobial protection: Lemon Myrtle has demonstrated antimicrobial activity against a wide range of bacteria and fungi in laboratory studies, with a potency that exceeds many synthetic preservatives. In an eye cream this matters because the eye area is prone to contamination from daily contact. The natural antimicrobial action keeps the formula stable and helps maintain the health of the delicate skin it is applied to. Brightening without irritation: The citral compounds in Lemon Myrtle have a mild brightening effect on skin tone, reducing the appearance of dullness and uneven pigmentation around the eye area. Unlike synthetic brightening agents, they do not cause the sensitivity or stinging that men with reactive skin often experience around the eyes. Calming inflammation: Lemon Myrtle Extract has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce puffiness and visible redness. For men dealing with dark circles caused by poor circulation or fluid retention, the calming action reduces the underlying inflammation that makes the area look worse. Antioxidant defence: The high citral and phenolic compound content gives Lemon Myrtle strong antioxidant properties that protect the thin eye area skin from UV and environmental damage, both of which accelerate the fine lines and crepiness that develop around the eyes faster than anywhere else on the face.

    White Willow Bark

    Natural exfoliant

Natural exfoliation: Salicin from White Willow Bark breaks down the bonds between dead skin cells, allowing them to shed naturally. The result is a clearer surface, smaller-looking pores, and skin that absorbs the rest of your routine more effectively. Pore clearing: White Willow Bark is oil-soluble, meaning it can get into the pore itself rather than just working on the surface. This makes it useful for men who deal with congestion, blackheads, or a generally dull and thick-looking skin texture. Anti-inflammatory: Unlike synthetic salicylic acid at high concentrations, natural salicin has a gentler anti-inflammatory action. It calms the skin while it exfoliates rather than creating the redness and sensitivity that aggressive chemical exfoliants can cause. Non-stripping hydration: Because White Willow Bark works gradually, it does not disturb the skin barrier the way a 2% salicylic acid serum might. Men with dry or sensitive skin can use it without the tightness or flaking that comes with harsher alternatives.
