The Detox Clay Mask is a treatment step rather than a daily product. Used two to three times per week, it addresses the congestion and oil regulation that daily cleansing alone cannot fully resolve, particularly for men with oily skin, enlarged pores, or recurring breakouts. Kaolin and Bentonite clays form the base of the formula. These are negatively charged minerals that attract and bind the positively charged impurities, excess oil, and toxins sitting in the pore. During the 10 to 15 minute application period they draw this material to the surface where it is removed when the mask is rinsed. The physical extraction effect of clay is immediate and visible after a single use. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) works simultaneously during the mask application to address the underlying causes of congestion and oiliness. It moderates sebaceous activity, reducing the rate of oil production that causes pores to stretch and fill with sebum. It also inhibits melanin transfer to the skin surface, which over time reduces post-breakout marks and uneven pigmentation. Clinical research using 5% Niacinamide twice daily showed statistically significant reductions in sebum excretion rate and pore size over twelve weeks. Zinc Oxide provides additional antibacterial and oil-absorbing action during the application. Charcoal Powder adds further adsorption capacity, binding impurities in the pore alongside the clay. Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract contributes antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory compounds. The mask has a subtle eucalyptus and clay scent. It tightens as it dries, which is the normal response to the clay absorbing moisture and oil from the skin. Paraben-free, sulphate-free, silicone-free. Vegan friendly.

It is designed to be used one to two times per week, after cleansing, as a deep treatment that primes the skin for better absorption of what follows. That frequency is not a conservative suggestion. Kaolin and Bentonite draw out impurities through absorption. Used every day, they draw out everything, including the natural oils and lipids your skin barrier needs to function. Daily clay mask use triggers compensatory oil production in most men, making oily skin oilier and congestion worse. One to two times per week is the window where you get the benefit without the disruption.

Do not apply to sunburned, windburned, or actively irritated skin. Clay masks work by pulling material out of the pore and through the skin surface. On compromised skin, that same drawing action amplifies irritation rather than resolving it. Apply only when your skin is calm and intact.

If dry or dehydrated skin is your primary concern, a clay mask is not your starting point. The Kaolin and Bentonite in this formula are best matched to oily, combination, and congested skin.
